The leaves fall quickly

Autumn's burst of colors are the best part of the change between seasons.  In Juneau, the burst of color is usually from green to yellow and green that last from a week to a month depending amount of wind we get.  Fall also marks the return of lots of rain.

In mid September, we got a treat of sunny warm weather for about 12 days.  Since, David was in Charleston and I was working day shifts, Xander and I took every chance we had and spent it outside.  I took him to many new trails and we even tried a few new things like gold panning and living room camping.  It was one of the most amazing weeks I can remember that happened in the fall since I have lived in Alaska.

David returned from a nice trip to Charleston visiting family back to the rain and much cooler weather.  As it rained the rest of the month, we started adjusting to being inside and less daylight by the day.

October arrived and Xander was ready for month of spending time with Grammie (my mom).  We all enjoyed home cooking courteous of Xander and my mom.  Xander enjoyed staying home most days with no school.  He also had weekend activities of smart start sports and swimming lessons.  Halloween went well with Xander being Thomas the Train and enjoying his first neighbor trick or treating with Grammie and his friend Sophia.  Once back at home, he enjoyed giving candy out to his customers, he even gave the adults candy.

November started out with a little change for all of us: Xander now sleeps in a twin bed, the office upstairs is moved around, and moved my computer downstairs to the bedroom.  Now we are just getting ready for the Holidays and will enjoy having Denise come to town for Thanksgiving.
